The electric guitar offers immense freedom. Rock, blues, metal, pop, funk — the same instrument can sound completely different depending on who is holding it and what kind of music they want to play.
However, you don't have to start with difficult solos. At first, we get to know the instrument, learn basic chords, riffs, rhythm, and proper technique. Gradually, more advanced techniques, improvisation, solos, and conscious work on one's own sound come into play.
In lessons, we use music that the student actually listens to. If there is a song or riff that made you think, "I wish I could play like that" — it's very likely that we will start from that.
The electric guitar can provide great satisfaction right from the beginning of learning. The first riff that suddenly starts to sound just right is remembered much longer than the next exercise from a textbook.
